1.Acts as a sealed barrier to shield internal final drive parts (planetary gears, hydraulic motor, brake discs) from external contaminants common in construction sites, such as dirt, mud, water, and rock debris. Without this protection, debris would quickly cause gear wear, bearing failure, or hydraulic leaks.
2.Absorbs and dissipates heat generated by gear friction and hydraulic operation, preventing overheating of lubricants and internal components. The CAASE’s thick, cast iron walls and large surface area enhance heat dissipation.
